Oh well, I rejoiced too soon... It looks like iTunes is impatient and complains about iPhone connection timing out. The Error dialog says: 'The iPhone "xyz" cannot be synced. The device timed out.' At home I am using ADSL2 with upload speed of 512Kbps. Not fast enough for iTunes to see iPhone it thinks is on a USB 2.0 direct connection. If iTunes was running at work and my iPhone was at home, things may be different as work has a 4Mbps SHDSL link and my home download link speed is often 13Mbps using my Fibre Cable link rather than ADSL2... Oh well, it looks like I was dreaming to think this would work. |

| Forgive me, but let me make sure I understand what you are asking. Go from my device (receiver) through the Serial to USB converter, then into a single USB port. It is there that your software creates two virtual com ports (in this case USB ports) which both of the applications can use simultaneously. Is that correct? Thanks for all your patience... |

| 3 | Serial Port Solution / Serial Port Control / IOCTL_SERIAL_GET_MODEMSTATUS | Aug 14th, 2008, 2:20pm |

| I have been using your software successfully for a long time. When I run the application from my PC that has the Serial device connected directly to it, and I monitor the port using PortMon, I see the commands sent and received. There are no extraneous messages. However when I run the application from Citrix (an application server), with the Serial device connected to my local PC, I see hundreds of thousands of IOCTL_SERIAL_GET_MODEMSTATUS and IOCTL_SERIAL_GET_COMMSTATUS being sent within seconds. I know it’s not my application since I see these same messages when running Windows standard “HyperTerminal” application from Citrix. I realize this infers that it’s not an ACTIVE/X software problem either (since in the case of HyperTerminal, ACTIVE/X software is not even in the picture). However, I was wondering if there was anything that can be done to prevent these requests from being sent (maybe some config parameter in Active/X, etc..) I will be sending you a snapshot of the messages via Email. Thanks, Awaiting your response. |

| Please take a look at the sceme available at this link http://www.fabulatech.com/img/uploads/serial-usbnet-vpc.gif As far as I understand it, you need to work with serial device connected to your physical PC from your Virual PC. You can achieve this result using our USB Over Network solution. So here are some steps: - install USB Over Network (Server) to your Vista - connect your device and share it using USBNet (Server) shell - install USB Over Network (Client) to your Windows XP on VPC 2007 - connect your device using USBNet (Client) shell. This scenario will allow you to access your device as if it was directly plugged to your Virtual Machine. |

| Hello, Thanks for issue reporting. Really, there is delayed procedure of saving server info. We'll fix it ASAP, in any case, currently you can add server on client side, wait some time, connect/disconnect devices, and then reboot the PC in normal way. As result, the settings will be stored. Excuse me for inconveniences, we'll fix it very soon. Thanks! |
